‘Le Sommeil’ by Gustave Courbet |
A multiple attempt
rational eyes awry rye
seed
bleeding stars waiting
waning
Moon Beltane seeping in
tendril
root tongue choosing to
steal bits
of salvation
love only prolongs the
destination
as a paused interruption
sometimes a name
is the circumnavigation
of least resistance
the distance between
skin
and tremble song souls
meteors at night
their pitch, yaw and way
she charms me
glorious waded ripe
chronicling, a chaos
rouge
clever cackles bent
torso legs reach and
please
