garroting ghoul (my nightmare self) .............................................................. #NaPoWriMo Day 4

William Blake, 'The Night of Enitharmon's Joy' via #TateGallery

i never saw this thing
felt, belt tightening around me
humans fall through
what dreams weave
what worlds
whirls and whorls
what flavors we savor
what odd piques
catch us looking too
where no reflection
dare escape

i never saw this thing
that kept coming after me
thinning to hide, every time i turned to catch it lurking
yet, corner eyed, spied each slippery shadow slink
thinking it must be past sins glomming me

i never saw this thing
hurried scurried
whizzing past me in morning light
my kneeling palms to womb
tongue to rain
surrendering to uncertainty
as the Sun gained
warm hands
and a nose
for more of what
we freely give when
scent unseen

i never saw this thing
coffee or tea ambled wholly
rather i kept on seeing me
crying turns toward morning
reaching shore light
fighting to journey
to be
to be
awake
to be here
mind filled
with nothing but
knowing nothing
but feeling
blind love
serves me best
awake and abreast
with this breath
 nothing more
nothing less

    1. soundscape after words
      another good incidental-ism
      Gratitude

      wonderfully ephemeral mouthfuls
how a thought is but part
      of our fleeting infinities
      toe holding hope too
      what else would Pandora do

      Mille Grazie!

  4. Tis night when our deepest thoughts surface via delightful dream or nightmarish scream.

Tongue to rain giving into uncertainty....whispering secrets to the stars and moon will deliverance come soon...
