NaPoWriMo 2013 # 30...

between you and the rain

perhaps maps
don't show my eyes
anything
without my heart
seeing it first
hands along spun clay
wide sluiced grins
keeping the grooves
to where my rhythms meet
for heaven and sin
gin and lemon squeezed
between the tree
and a garden of rocks
where being found
is a sound joy makes
when understood

page after page
a sweet madness
curls my toes into
each written word
each trembling crocus
nearing another crown
the poem writes itself
certain of this call
certain of the Sun
today

  5. Such vivid imagery in your verses. There's something ethereal about it. Love these verses:

to where my rhythms meet...so many beautiful phrases in this but as a potter this made me smile. Lovely imagery as always, Edward. -Kat / @BeingMama
