poem 121 of a poem a day for 2012 (NaPoWriMo9)

as I would look out at the night

ride her Moon
armrest call
to June
an overstuffed
velvet covered chair
dare me past
each bare
threshold open
my heart
a window again

let spill
curtain symphonies
wear alleyways
on skinned pleasing
getting through things
like days on end
where emotions
candied bones
glazed with sin

like glances do
when her scent
latches onto
my eyes too
here where we
divide ourselves
in two to see
what we can
when tasting
key-holed entry
to play for
a forever
as only a moment can
orbit hand to hand

our band of water
fire, wind and sand
spun round this
stoked furnace stand
the one so caught
as a Goldilocks
honeyed in a jar
a rear-view mirror
looked upon afar
away wish upon too
once ago when
we first felt our
little yellow star
we knew we
were home
