when you hear we are playing the grind

indeed 
we bleed a
stop midway 
through the second act 

Spring is 
the best time
to be organ worn 

we each play 
threaded bone 
to thin loom 
silver reach wear
we purse collect
coins and candy

we are 
monkey, 
gumshoe, 
old hat,
peanut machine 
and you
