poem 314 of a poem a day for 2012

so you tell me

you say horse saddle me
pull the strap tight
and cinch me
to your straw basket
in the marsh reeds
on your knees
crawling the diamonds
you receive unlocking
the tightly wound desires
you never thought
would see the light of day
bend yourself into tomorrow
into the cupped spanks
that make a Dawn sound
each time they strike
the Moon just right
crickets are listening
they slow down
the frequencies
to catch their breath
as you might do
when you start
to eat everything
that’s not on the menu
so you say
you want dessert first
and you ask for permission
with a smile as I laugh
as this is really
an admission
you want
to be on top too
