poem 15 of a poem a day for 2012

my gravity, Goddess

painted the inside
of my eyelids
every color
of remember, but
I still forget
so I am going
to just feel
my way
to your
beauty
instead

peeling
each pause
each lean
against a tree or
a hung moment why

I did

feel for something
about you in a reach
feel for something

you did

without cause that
matched my murmuration
to your portal shifts
of pinned daylight
in the cloud carved
rock homes
above loams
rooting dreams here
sluiced rivers near
the call-tongues of oceans
that know
the mountains climb
to get closer
to the rain

  1. "painted the inside
    of my eyelids
    every color
    of remember"

    "peeling
    each pause
    each lean
    against a tree"

    "feel for something
    about you in a reach"

    "without cause that
    matched my murmuration"

    "the call-tongues of oceans
    that know
    the mountains climb
    to get closer
    to the rain"
